Kathy Claytor

Kathy Claytor is a Chief Human Resources Officer leading HR over hercareer, for companies including Delta Dental, a market-leading dental insurer, NorthWindsTechnology, One Mind Health-India and other organizations in the financialservices, technology, bio-tech and government sectors. A global business leader, she hasstrategically built and transformed teams and cultures that increasedprofitability and attracted talent.

Herpassion for advancing the HR profession through certification and learning ledher to join the Human Resource Certification (HRCI) Board where she currently servesas HRCI Board Chair.  Kathy was recentlyappointed to the Wall Street Journal’s Chief People Officers Councilrepresenting HRCI. She also serves as Board Co-Chair for the Roanoke BlacksburgInnovation Alliance (RBIA), a regional alliance strategically focused on advancingtechnology, biotech solutions and innovation for established enterprise andstart-ups.

Witha global focus, Kathy led the people operations for an India based tech subsidiary.  She later served as a board member for the Indiabased company, providing governance oversight. She has traveled extensively andserved on HR Executive Delegations to India, China, Israel, and South Africa. Otherglobal work includes work with the New Delhi Institute of Management HR programand recognition as a Top 100 Global HR Leader at the World HRD Congress inMumbai.

Kathy holds degrees in Business and Economics and completed a Harvard executiveeducation program in Mumbai. She earned the Global Professional in HumanResources, GPHR, and Senior Professional in Human Resources, SPHR,certifications through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Kathy was most recently recognized as a CHRO of the Year Leader ofDistinction from HRO Today.
